Ridgeline Softshell Jacket

This is the third pattern. The first two failed the same way: the shoulder seam sat where a pack strap rides, and it pulled open by the end of a season. The seam now sits two inches forward with a heavier bar tack at the strap point, and the hood is cut to clear a cap without craning your neck.

The face fabric is a four-way stretch softshell with a 20K/20K membrane, so it sheds a wet snow and still breathes on the climb. Pit zips run long enough to dump heat on a steep push without taking the pack off.
